What Ultimate Watchlist Does

Ultimate Watchlist helps you track and organize your TV shows, movies, and anime. You can search titles, add them to your library, and manage your watch progress.

On macOS only, you may optionally link a local folder for a library item. When linked, the app can display the files/episodes found in that folder and can open selected files in an external video player.

Information We Collect

Ultimate Watchlist does not collect personal information.

• Your library and watchlist are stored locally on your device (not uploaded to our servers).
• Search queries you enter are sent to third-party content APIs to return results (see below).
• macOS only (optional): if you link a local folder, the app stores the folder reference/path locally so it can list local files and open them in an external player.

How We Use Information

We use information only to provide app functionality:

• Perform searches and display title information returned from third-party content APIs.
• Maintain your local library, watchlist, and progress on your device.
• On macOS, list local files from a folder you choose and open selected files in your external player.

Third-Party Content APIs

Ultimate Watchlist fetches title metadata and search results from third-party APIs. When you search for a title, your search query and basic request information may be sent to these services to return results:

• MyAnimeList API (anime metadata and search)
• TVmaze API (TV show metadata and search)
• OMDb API (movie and TV metadata)

These services are governed by their own privacy policies and terms. Ultimate Watchlist does not control how these providers process requests.

We do not send your name, email, or any account identifiers to these providers because the app does not use accounts.

Local Media on macOS

If you choose to link a local folder on macOS, Ultimate Watchlist uses standard system permissions to access the folder you select. The app reads file names and folder structure to display episodes/content and can open selected files in your chosen external player.

We do not upload, store, or transmit your local media files. Linking a folder is optional and can be removed at any time.

Data Sharing

Ultimate Watchlist does not sell your personal information. Aside from requests you initiate to the third-party content APIs when searching, we do not share personal data with third parties.

Data Storage and Security

Your watchlist and library data are stored locally on your device. If you enable folder linking on macOS, the selected folder reference/path is stored locally. No system is 100% secure, but we do not operate a server-side database for your library.

Children’s Privacy

Ultimate Watchlist is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental consent.

Your Choices

• You can edit or delete items from your library within the app.
• On macOS, you can unlink any previously linked local folder at any time.
• You can request support by contacting us at the email below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page.
